Cason Lane, owner of Cason Lane Strategic Communications, is an award-winning strategist, writer and consultant with more than 20 years of experience in internal and external business communications. He started his company in 2007 in San Diego, California, after spending eight years managing employee communications at Jack in the Box. Previously, he managed patient communications at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston; he worked in public information at Houston Community College System; and he was a journalist in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.

At Cason Lane Strategic Communications, Cason and his team combine strategic thinking and creative thinking to drive business results. From messaging to measurement, web copy to white papers, the company provides communications planning and execution for such organizations as Wells Fargo, KPMG, Honeywell, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Life Technologies and the U.S. Navy.

Cason Lane is an accredited member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), which places him in the top 10 percent of professional communicators worldwide, and he was named the 2014 Communicator of the Year for IABC-San Diego. His work has earned more than 20 awards from IABC, the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, and the Public Relations Society of America. He received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Texas Christian University.
